As a church, we want to cultivate multiplying church movements within international university centers to help reach the unreached.
We want to cultivate indigenous churches internationally that have, from their very inception, a vision for reproduction, both within their culture and beyond. We believe the church is God’s chosen vessel for advancing His glory throughout all nations.
“Multiplying church movements” is not referring to a specific model or method, but a biblical pattern in which we want all our key initiatives to be participating. We want each team to multiply churches that are appropriate and effective to the cultural context as determined by the local missionaries.
We desire our international focus areas to be in cities or regions with influential universities. We believe this has been part of our God-given identity, locally and domestically, since the mid-1960s, and we desire to pursue this focus internationally. “Influential universities” train students who can change culture both on a national and international level. Students are the next generation of leaders in education, politics, industry, and the church.
With limited resources, we desire to have the greatest impact by reaching people groups that are less than 2% evangelical. This includes pursuing pockets of unreached peoples in areas that are more than 2% evangelical (e.g. Afghan refugees in Berlin, Germany), or mobilizing people in highly Gospel-saturated areas to the unreached (e.g. Indonesian believers to the Middle East).
