Why do we have a process?

Volunteers are the hands and feet of our Grace Bible Church body. We aim to equip them well for the role they set out to do. In order to encourage people to cross-serve, whether they change campus or want to try out a new department, we’ve streamlined this application process using Church Community Builder. This process includes a serving interest form, application, background check (if applicable), child safety training (if applicable), interview, post-interview,

Start: Serving Interest Form

All volunteers should enter this process through their campus Serving Interest Form on the Grace Bible Church website. ****Contact the Admin from your department with any questions.
From there, potential volunteers should then receive an application to fill out. Our current interview guide will show you which of the 3 levels of applications your department requires and the questions to ask in an interview.

Who needs an Application to volunteer?

EVERYONE that is not a current Fellow or Perm staff member. It does not matter if they are related to a staff member, have been at Grace longer than you’ve been alive, or seem like a really cool person.

Background Check/ Child Safety Trainings

Please check the interview guide for specific requirement on what your applicant needs to complete before serving which most likely will include a background check and child safety training. Potential volunteers are added to these queues through the CCB Application Process after their application has been completed.

The potential volunteer has to fill out their information in a background check consent form before we are able to run the background check and order the CST simultaneously. Below is the email addresses that will be sent to the volunteers. Both of these are run through a 3rd party called Protect My Ministry. Contact your department Admin or @Madeline Echols with any questions.
