Grace Bible Church has two ways we care for the physical needs of our congregations and people in our community:

  1. Through giving for Grace family needs (members or regular attenders)
  2. Through giving to those who call or walk in who aren’t part of the Grace family

We want to serve and care for ever person made in the image of God, for whom Christ died! Pray for them, look for opportunities to share the Gospel and invite them to church for worship services or other relevant ministries.

MODs take care of “walk-ins” who come into the church office or who call in asking for help and who are not already part of Grace.

Guidelines

Each MOD uses their discretion in if or how they will help the person in need. For example, if a person needs housing, we may put them in a hotel for a night; if they need food, we could provide an HEB gift card. We strive to discern the legitimacy of needs, as many MOD walk-ins call around to many churches looking for a handout.

Discretionary limits

Each MOD may spend up to $250 without approval using a Grace credit card. When the situation warrants a written check, the signatory requirements on our checking account mean checks may take up to a week. Check requests submitted by Monday at 5 pm will be written and signed on Tuesday.
