What is Manager Self Service or MSS?

Manager Self-Service (MSS) is a centralized digital tool that gives supervisors direct access to their team’s HR, leave requests, and time-tracking data. It lets managers handle routine workforce tasks. Essentially, it’s the same exact portal as the ESS but has additional access for supervisors to see information for the staff they supervise.

What can you view as a supervisor?

• Used, current, and projected vacation and sick leave
• Submitted timesheets for hourly staff only
• Upcoming birthdays
• Upcoming anniversaries
• Upcoming time off dates
• Hire date(s)
• Other demographic information

What are your responsibilities as a supervisor?

• Approve or deny time off requests
• Approve or correct timesheets for only hourly staff that you supervise
