Most people will need to request an account the first time they try to log into our Church Community Builder (CCB) database. Once they have an account setup, we can then guide them to sign in to CCB in order to access and manage their profile.

If you’re helping someone who has logged in before but is having trouble accessing their account, check their username with them and, if necessary, reset their password for them:

  1. Go to the individual’s profile.

  2. Near the top of the page, click the Actions dropdown.

  3. Select Username/Password from the bottom of the dropdown menu.

  4. Confirm that the username they are using is correct.

  5. If the username is correct, go ahead and change their password to a temporary password.

A simple, proactive explanation can often prevent confusion when the app link doesn’t bring them directly to an application. When sending application links, consider including an explanation, such as:

“If you have not logged into our database before, this link will prompt you to request a login. It may take up to 24 hours to receive an invitation email, after which you will be able to set up an account and complete the application.”
